It is a complex museum with archaeological, ethnographic, historical, art and natural collections and a collection of bequests. The museum is situated in a mansion built in the style of Darmstadt Jugendstil, designed by the Vágó brothers in 1906, whose works had always been decorated with the motive of birds, which is present on this building as well.
